Welcome to the Victorian on Lincoln Street!
The Victorian on Lincoln Street is a second-floor apartment that is part of a recently renovated two-family house. A lot of the original charm remains, like the oversized trim, large rooms, and original... porcelain kitchen sink (really cool antique). There is a great second floor private porch off the master bedroom for some bonus outdoor living space.
This historic home goes back to 1910 and also has soaring high ceilings in all rooms and an inviting front foyer with a large staircase and decorative balusters.
The best part of this home is the location on one of the most desired streets in all New Britain. Lincoln Street is only one street away from the popular Walnut Hill Park. Here is there live music, festivals, open green grass, and a very peaceful place to walk.
This west New Britain neighborhood is known for its historic homes, scenic roads, and quiet setting bordering nearby Kensington. This location is a mostly single-family houses (lots of Victorians) and 131 Lincoln blends in and does not look like a typical two-family house.
The entire house has been renovated with updated kitchens and appliances, new luxury vinyl plank flooring (looks like hardwood), all new professional paint (every room had wallpaper that has been removed!), new Thermopane windows, new natural gas water heater, and a new high-efficiency gas heating system.
In addition, a back entry has been rebuilt, the brick foundation has been repointed and the exterior of the house has been repainted. A beautiful house to call home.
The apartment has three bedrooms with the largest bedroom in the front of the house. The middle room has three windows that bump out and drenches this living room with natural light. This room abuts the large kitchen. The two other bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the full bath.
The house is prewired for internet and cable.
A nice surprise is the in-unit washer and dryer that is included with the rental and located in a separate laundry room off the kitchen.
Another bonus is the spacious and green backyard perfect for relaxing or throwing a ball. Both the private 2nd floor porch and the yard add to the appeal of this unique rental.
Please keep in mind there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on good credit. A minimum of 675+ credit score is required. The tenant is responsible for natural gas and electric. Owner pays for water, snow removal, and landscaping. Renter’s insurance is required. Only one month security deposit with a strong application. Pets considered on a case-by-case basis.
