I have really enjoyed living in Hartford 21! The building is clean, well-maintained, and feels safe. Obviously the location cannot be better being right in the heart of downtown.

One of the best parts is the concierge team. They are consistently helpful, attentive, and I am impressed by how well they know the residents on an individual personal basis.

The only reason I would take off a star is because sometimes the elevators can be finicky and or the dog park could be cleaned on a more... frequent basis :-)

We’ve had a great experience living here, thanks in large part to the staff. Jorge, the maintenance tech, consistently goes above and beyond and treats every tenant with genuine care. The concierge team is also dependable, friendly, and always on top of things. Overall, it’s been a wonderful place to call home, and we know we’ll miss it when it’s time to leave.

Where to begin… Car has been broken into in the parking garage twice. Told front desk woman who works nights and she brushed it off. 2 of the elevators do not work. Plates do not read so you have to buzz in and out every time you need to enter or exit garage. Building has a MAJOR odor and fly problem. Good luck enjoying your workout in the gym. Dog park is essentially unusuable.

This building has several security and maintenance issues. The parking lot is not secure, the building security is nonexistent. Additionally, there are frequent elevator issues, intermittently out of order. Easy intruder walk-ins, and car break-ins. Many apartments with more than 5 students: subleasing it further on temporary basis(even 15days as per Facebook posts) making it unsafe for residents. Cleanliness has definitely taken a hit. Do you like the smell of marijuana penetrating your unit? Crowding into elevators like helpless sheep because 2/3 are shut down? Your confidential info being mismanaged? Then this place is perfect for you.

Residents who lack consideration and manners are part of the problem. They’ve triggered fire alarms, don’t return carts, and don’t clean up after their pets. You’ll also have to fight over parking spots with the public who somehow got in.

The doors should be (but aren’t) locked 24/7 due to... this being an urban location. Food deliveries have been stolen and staff is too incompetent to deal with the homeless who’ve walked (or been let) in.

The occasional free pizza and holiday party don’t make up for all the issues you’ll experience. Dear management, either address the problems or reduce everyone’s rent to what it’s actually worth. Read More
