Peaceful, quiet room near ECSU, UCONN, & Windham Hospital!

Walking distance to downtown Willimantic, bus route, ECSU, and Willimantic Food Co-op market that carries fresh produce and health foods! Easy 15-minute drive to UCONN. 2 minutes to Windham Recreation/Community Center & Senior Center. Walk or... drive to Windham Hospital. You'll love walking down the hill to enjoy Third Thursday Street Festival every month from May-September. This home is the perfect location for students, graduates, professionals, or traveling health care workers looking for a quiet place to rest or study at the end of a long or busy day, while also enjoying prime time convenience, just walking distance from many attractions.

2 furnished rooms in a nice home-share environment are available. Residents share a common bathroom. Off of the bathroom is a laundry room with a washer and dryer which the owner also uses (owner has a separate bath upstairs). Each bedroom has a twin sized bed, dresser, desk, chair and closet. One room has a desk with a hutch shelf above, the other room utilizes the lip around the edge of the room for books.

We are a friendly, honest, trustworthy, respectful, global minded, studious, quiet, financially responsible, clean/tidy, health-conscious household of mature students and professionals looking for similar individuals to share our home. Must be non-smoker (not indoor, outdoor, closet, social, etc.), non-partier, non-drug user.

Base rents for each single room starts at $1050 and include some utilities and wireless internet. Individual leases.

**Rooms are furnished and there is not extra room to bring your own furniture. There is also no storage. No bikes allowed indoors. In order to keep carpets clean on upstairs level, we ask occupants to remove shoes and wear indoor slippers if you prefer.

Lease terms/Application Fee: Lease terms are flexible to accommodate traveling health care professionals who are generally on 12-week rotations, and students or academic scholars/professors who need semester-based or summer-internship based leases. Student/Internship lease terms go from Jan 1-May 31, June 1 - Aug 31, and Sept 1 - Dec 31. There is the opportunity to renew, as well as flexible move in dates per room availability. $50 application fee per person (includes a credit/criminal background check), $50 cleaning fee, first and 1-month security deposit required.

About the home: Owner lives on premises several days per week and is very attentive. The kitchen on the 2nd floor is available for cooking use as needed (please clean up after yourself) but the lounge on the lower level allows tenants to store your food downstairs and reheat in the microwave.

Location: The home is located in a residential neighborhood in the desirable hill section of Willimantic. There is stillness here in the middle of a very dense neighborhood. Small wildlife come out into the yard to say hello (rabbits, an array of birds, groundhogs, squirrels, etc.), all best seen from the deck in the back overlooking the double lot and beautiful flower gardens. People who love to view what nature can be experienced in the bustle of "the city" will enjoy it here.

We are conveniently located just seconds or minutes from Rt 6, 66, Main Street, Rt. 32. We are 6 minutes from Walmart, Starbucks, and seconds from everything on Main Street, which features lots of little mom & pop shops and eateries.

Allergy Alert/Pets: There are 2 dogs in the owner occupied household on the top floor... both are rescues. My dog is a beagle adopted at 8 years old (now 12!), and the other is a shih-tzu/poodle mix who was dumped in Willimantic and adopted from animal control. Unfortunately, I cannot have any additional pets. Animal lover a plus, especially to ease the pups who've had some baggage in their lives before they came to me (separation anxiety).

**Due to rising costs of utilities, I am looking for people who are mindful of this and not wasteful (for example, don't open the windows when the heat is on!), turn the lights off when you're gone/sleeping, turn the heat down (not off) when you leave the house in the winter, etc.
